It's amazing!
Though I cut off the whole morning glories
at my balcony yesterday
due to the scheduled repairment, I was surprised
this morning to
find one flower beautifully blossomed. It's
completely cut off from the
root. It's only connected to a 20 cm stem.
I admired its strength but at the same time
felt a sense of pity about
the way it blooms. It's like a human being
who vainly clings to a fleeting
dream and keeps living. (September 5, 2004)
